West London summer wedding

For part of the summer – and to avoid having a backlog of computer work while the children are on school holidays – I’ve been assisting some of my friends who needed two photographers at wedding days. It’s a really special, supportive network of female photographers; lovely to work alongside my mates, and to be…

Preview: Burnham Beeches wedding photographer

I’m skidding in a bit late with this preview, having spent the past week helping at a wonderful senior citizens holiday club and making a flying visit to County Durham! These photographs are almost ready to be packaged up and posted off to the very lovely Emma & Robert – a couple who know how…

  • Andy Giles - Thanks for some wonderful photos of our granddaughter’s wedding to Rob. You captured the loving feel  of the couple and their family and guests. ReplyCancel

Heirloom photograph albums

It is always a thrill, as a photographer, to see the pictures that you’ve captured turned into printed pages. You don’t need me to tell you that photographs are such an incredibly important record for us, as well as future generations. For this reason, I’m particularly choosy when it comes to printing labs – I…

Choosing your wedding photographer, Part 2

There are a number of things that (after several years of being immersed in weddings) I’m so used to knowing how they work, it’s easy to forget that a bride & groom might not be aware. So here goes with some tips for the day; if you know these advance, it’s a few less things…

Gate Street Barn spring wedding

Today I’m going back to the Spring for Emily and Joel’s central Guildford wedding followed by reception at the beautiful Gate Street Barn. Em is one of those people that everyone loves to spend time with, so watching her marry Joel – who brings out the very best in her – was an absolute joy…

Teddington wedding preview

Kat and Marc have been together for 10 years – one of the things I really love about weddings is when there’s a photo display of the couple’s history together, and we got to witness the university hairstyles of the past! It was such a delight to record them getting married, in front of friends…

  • Melissa - Julie, these are incredible! Every detail is so lovely and your work is simply stunning. I especially love the one if the bride and her daughter and the full-length one of the couple after the shot of them leaving the church. You have the perfect blend of the artist’s “eye” and the technical skill to produce such exquisite work, and your clients always look like they stepped out of a magazine!ReplyCancel

Gate Street Barn wedding, Guildford

This was a day I’d looked forward to photographing for such a long time – I’m just putting the finishing touches to Emily & Joel’s package of photographs, so I have to resist the temptation to share too many pictures in a sneak preview! Needless to say, I just can’t wait to show them the…

New Year Kirtlington Park wedding

I don’t know how I’ve managed to narrow down these pictures to a manageable selection for a blog post! Cassie & Phil’s New Year’s Eve-eve wedding was the most beautiful, joyous occasion and everything I love about weddings – friends, family thoroughly relishing time spent together in celebration. How else can I put across the…

Intimate wedding, Wandsworth

Derek and Jennifer’s lovely, intimate wedding ceremony took place at Wandsworth Town Hall, in the Mayor’s Parlour – a little wood panelled room just big enough for their 13 guests. They celebrated later with a dinner at the Star & Garter, Putney – here’s a little taster of the photos I’m currently preparing for them….

Julie Anne Images in print

I’ve had photographs featured in a number of publications over the last few months. In the Spring/Summer issue of Wedding Venues and Services, Krista and Henry’s Buckinghamshire wedding photography was featured. They married at the village church in Fingest and celebrated on the farm where Henry grew up. They sourced items from the area and involved…
